Do you travel for events?
Yes. DJ Expression performs domestically across the U.S. and internationally for destination celebrations. Travel, lodging, and logistics are included in your custom proposal.
Do you DJ Nigerian and multicultural weddings?
Absolutely. Nigerian (Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa), Ghanaian, Caribbean, Indian-Nigerian, and other multicultural weddings are a specialty. Expect a seamless flow between Afrobeats, Highlife, Amapiano, Hip-Hop, R&B, and your family's traditional favorites.
Can you also MC the event?
Light MC duties — announcements, hype work, intros for the couple and bridal party — are included by default. For full event MC services, we can recommend trusted partners or quote it as an add-on.
Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes. Professional Pioneer DJ equipment, premium speakers, wireless microphones, and dance-floor lighting are included. For larger venues we coordinate with full production teams.
Do you work with wedding planners and coordinators?
Always. Planners, coordinators, and venues love working with DJ Expression because the timeline is followed, transitions are clean, and the energy is consistent from cocktail hour to last dance.
How far in advance should I book?
For peak season (April–October) and Saturdays, 6–12 months in advance is recommended. For destination events, the earlier the better. We can sometimes accommodate shorter timelines — inquire anyway.
Can we send a song request list?
Yes. We use a curated planning process — must-plays, do-not-plays, ceremony selections, first dance, parent dances, and cultural moments are all collected before the event.
What's required to lock in our date?
A signed agreement and retainer secure your date. The remaining balance is due closer to the event. Specifics are included in your custom proposal.
Do you provide ceremony music too?
Yes — ceremony sound, processional cues, microphones for officiants and toasts, and seamless coverage from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception.
What if our event runs longer than planned?
Overtime is available at a transparent hourly rate, arranged on the night of the event or scheduled in advance.
Are you insured?
Yes. DJ Expression carries professional liability insurance and can provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) to your venue on request.
